Laundry Services Frequently Asked Questions

We believe it is beneficial to you to separate your laundry prior to dropping it off.

  • You will see if you have enough of one sort (e.g. a full load of whites) to send or whether there would be a saving for you to hold it until your next pick up
  • Sorting also help you to catch dry cleaning or color fast items mixed in prior to dropping it off
  • Sorting gives you an opportunity to check your pockets for valuables before dropping it off

We recommend that you sort into two or three groups.

  1. Whites – Hot or Warm wash (with or without optional bleach or laundry booster)
  2. Colors – Cold Wash
  3. Darks – Cold Wash (colors may be added to your dark load)

Sorting your laundry gives you the ultimate decision on how you would like to have your garments laundered.

We currently provide services throughout Toronto, Mississauga, Woodbridge and Brampton. Starting Fall 2017, we will begin providing services in Oakville and Burlington.  If you live with any of these cities, please log in online to place your order for pick up. Please tell a friend or neighbor about us!

Currently we do not provide services on statutory or civic holidays.

DoMyLaundry.ca accepts payment by Cash, e-Transfer or by credit card through Square or PayPal secure payment system.

Please note that our delivery drivers DO NOT CARRY ANY CASH for change.

We however cannot reuse the bags for other customers, so they are yours to keep. Please make sure you destroy the tags on the bags so that no one else can use your account.

We take every precaution to ensure your items are not damaged or lost. In the rare circumstance that something does happen, please let us know within 5 business days.  We have a very fair claims policy. To view all of our terms and conditions, click here.

Busy people have lots to focus on and sometimes forget to make payment at drop off. When payment is not made at drop off, we will contact you by telephone or email so that you can make the payment online.

If we are unable to reach you or if payment is not received within 24 hours, we will store your laundry until either payment is received or a maximum of 30 days from the initial drop off date.

After 30 days, we will assume that the clothes were abandoned or intended to be donated to charity. we will either discard them or donate them to a local charity and will do so without prejudice and at our sole discretion.

Automatic payment plans helps to avoid forgetting to make payments.

DoMyLaundry.ca is proud to offer Iso-Wash Service. We use Dye Free, Fragrance Fee, Hypo-Allergenic detergent & softeners for all Iso-Wash services. Iso-Wash Laundry are also done in washers and dryers designated exclusively to Iso-Wash Services.

An average load of laundry order is approximately 15 to 20 pounds. This is usually about 1 of our standard laundry bags filled.

The amount of laundry each person generates will vary depending on lifestyle and wardrobe habits. An average individual generates approximately 2 loads of laundry each week.

Although our primary service is wash & fold, we can accommodate a limited amount of wash and hang laundry orders. Because of the amount of space required and the amount of time it takes to hang dry items indoors, your hang dry items may be returned wet or partially dry. We recommend that you continue to hang them to complete the drying process at home.  You may also consider requesting that we dry your order on low heat.

DoMyLaundry.ca has chosen PayPal, one of the safest and largest payment platforms in the world to process our payments. Chances are you or someone you know has used PayPal in the past or make frequent payments using PayPal.

When you enter your credit card information, we don’t actually keep your credit card anywhere in our system. We keep a reference to your last transaction and when you have a new order, we make a request to PayPal to charge you the same way you were charged last time. This helps to eliminate any security breach of your credit card information within our system.

Please use your own laundry bag or a pillow case for your first drop off. We will return your order in one of our clean recyclable bag. For repeat customers, we will return your order in a reusable DoMyLaundry.ca laundry bag. This bag is yours to keep for future use.

Each time we receive laundry in your bag, we will know it’s from you. Please don’t give your laundry bag to someone else or we may mistakenly charge your account. If we notice that your bag is getting worn, we will replace it automatically for you. You may purchase additional DoMyLaundry.ca laundry bags for only $20 each.

  1. If you have registered as a customer:-
    Log in to your DoMyLaundry.ca Account. There you can make any special request and make payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or DoMyLaundry.ca Gift Card through PayPal secure payment system.
    If you select the convenient automatic payment option, we will automatically charge your card for all future orders.
  2. If you are not yet a customer:
    Your may Sign Up as a customer by visiting our website and setting up a free account.

As crazy as it may seem, we actually do listen to our customers and will make every reasonable effort to accommodate special requests.  Please keep in mind that some requests require extra resource or time and may result in additional charges to your order.  Any extra charges will be disclosed to you prior to proceeding with your order.

“Saying what we do” and “doing what we say” includes returning your laundry on time. We will do our best to ensure that your orders are returned within the service times chosen. However, we also need to ensure that special requests such as stains removal, special handling items, hand washed items and pressing your clothes are professionally completed. In most cases, orders are delivered back as scheduled, but if one item is held up, we will hold the order until everything is ready.

In addition, there are situations that we cannot control such as road, traffic and weather conditions, which may have and adverse impact on our delivery schedule.

If there will be a lengthy delay, we will notify you.

DoMyLaundry.ca is very simple to use. Place your order or ask any questions through our Website, by Telephone, Messenger, SMS, or WhatsApp.

No. We do not subscribe to hidden charges. All charges will be fully disclosed to you before we proceed with services.

In some cases a visual inspection prior to washing may reveal special handling needs (sequined or jewelled apparel, haute couture, heavily stained items etc.). If we are able to provide the professional service required, we will either proceed as charged, or separate them and return them to you if they fall outside of our care expertise.

If extra labor, additional products or outside expertise are required to process your order, we will contact you to discuss any such additional charges before proceeding.

While monthly plans present great value to most of our customers, some individuals may not find the same value and may choose to pay as you go for services.  You may cancel any monthly plan by simply not renewing the plan subscription when it comes up for renewal the next month.

Sorry, but our Monthly Laundry Plans are such a great deal that they may not be combined with any other offers. Discounts and offers may be applied to other services not associated with your Monthly Laundry Plans.

If you were unable to fully utilize your Monthly Laundry Plan within the calendar month that you paid for, you will be given a seven (7) day grace period in which you can use up what’s left on you plan.

We want you to get the full benefit that you have paid for.

Should you cancel your services with us, all unused portion of your plan or unused carry over will be forfeited at the end of the last day of your paid plan.

We will send you a reminder at least 30 days before your plan rate expires at the end of the calendar year outlining any changes to the plan, including rates, if any.

Your Monthly Laundry Plan will be automatically renewed with your approval and charged on the last banking day of each month for the upcoming month.

We guarantee all Monthly Laundry Plan rates for a calendar year. There are no “gotcha clauses”.

You may choose to opt in or out of your plan any month.

For example, if you plan to be away for an extended period, you can turn off your services for those month(s) and will not have to pay for the month(s) that you did not use our services but, on your return can continue during the calendar year at your guaranteed rate.

No problem, we’ve got you.

Should you exceed the number of loads for your Monthly Laundry Plan, you will be charged the current load rate less the discount that is applicable to your Monthly Laundry Plan.

If this is happening frequently, you may want to review your changing laundry needs and upgrade to a more appropriate Monthly Laundry Plan.

Our concierge laundry service (pick up and delivery) has a minimum order size of 28 lbs or $50.  If you think your order may be below this minimum amount, try adding some towels or linen to get full value for your money.

 

Our large energy efficient washers allow us to wash larger items such as comforters and pillows.

These are not included in the Monthly Laundry Plan and will be charged separately.
